I chose Visuwords to be one of my top websites because:
- It's an online graphical dictionary.
- It allows students to visually see the connections between words.
- It's very simple to use.
- It's captiviating and enjoyable to watch.
It will improve effectiveness because:
- It's more interesting to use than a paper dictionary.
- It gives several adjectives, verbs, and antonyms for each word typed.
I could use this is the classroom in the following ways:
- I can have the students draw words out of a hat, and they have to write a poem about that word using Visuwords.
- I can give them a "word of the day" and each student needs to come up with a synonym or antonym to that word.
